1. What’s the difference between a demo and a live trading account?

They are the same in terms of dealing rates, liquidity and capabilities. Demo accounts, however, trade using virtual cash, meaning that none of your capital at risk.

2. What is the minimum transaction size per order?

At IKON Global Markets, all transactions occur in increments of $10k and 100 ounces in precious metals. We do not distinguish between mini and standard accounts.

3. What is the maximum transaction size per order?

This depends on your available trading margins. You can call our dealing desk 24 hours, six days a week for information that suits your particular needs.

Please note that all transactions over $10m notional value must be made over the phone.

4. How does IKON GM determine its prices?

Our state-of-the-art proprietary technology compares and contrasts a range of international financial institutions in order to provide our clients with the most efficient and accurate pricing in the market.

5. How do I open a Live account?

In order to open any of our Live Trading Accounts, you will need to complete a series of forms. Please click here for more information, and instructions on opening a Live Account.

6. How will I receive the download and log-in information?

Download and Log-In details for Demo accounts are sent moments after you complete your registration. For Live Trading Accounts, this information is sent to you as soon as your application has been approved and the funds have cleared.

7. When will my funds be posted to my account?

Your funds will be posted to your account as soon as they have cleared. Please allow 1-2 days for a wire transfer, or 3-6 days for a check.

8. What are your trading hours?

Our trading hours are from 5 p.m. EST Sunday, until 5 p.m. EST Friday with no exception other than the official holidays when local markets are closed.

9. Can I place orders over the phone?

Yes. You can place trades over the phone by contacting our dealing desk at 1-646-472-5255.

10. Can I place a trade via email?

No, we do not allow our customers to place trades via email. In the case of an emergency, call our trading desk at 1-646-472-5255.

11. Do I need a broadband Internet connection to trade with IKON GM?

No, this is not required. A dial-up connection is fine if you don’t have access to a broadband Internet service.

11. Can I trade with IKON GM if I am not using my home computer?

You can trade through IKON GM online products via any computer where the platform you use is installed.

12. Can I use IKON GM Online Platforms on my Apple Macintosh computer?

IKON GM Online Platforms are not compatible with the Apple Macintosh operating system.

13. What are the minimum system requirements for running IKON GM Online Platforms?

Below listed are the minimum and recommended system requirements for all IKON GM online products.

Minimum System Requirements:

Memory (RAM): 256 MB
Hard Disk Space: 30 MB
Display: 1024x768 resolution with high or true color support
Internet Access: At least 28.8 Kbps of connection speed
